The Research Triangle Chapter of NAIOP was chartered in 1980 by a group of local developers. By providing top-notch networking opportunities, educational programs and legislative representation, the Research Triangle Chapter is one of the largest chapters in the nation. The chapter offers a full compliment of services to its membership which include monthly meetings, an award winning marketplace bus tour, an annual golf event, mid-year real estate forecasts, promotion of effective public policy, and educational opportunities.

    The Great Recession hasn’t just resulted in economic turmoil – it’s also made Triangle employees work harder. Triangle Business Journal, in a recent unscientific online poll, asked readers if their job has gotten harder in the last five years. A total of 67 percent of the 416 respondents said they are “absolutely” working harder than ever. Another 13 percent replied that they were working a little bit harder.     IDEA Fund Partners, a Durham-based venture capital firm, has invested $400,000 in Virginia-based Distil. The money will allow the cloud-based content protection network company to accelerate its product development and expand sales and marketing efforts.
